IU-Green is interested in the conversion of the Plaza de San Francisco "in a place for leisure but not business made by the PP" (16/12/2014)

United Left-Greens today asked the City for various aspects related to the new catering establishment installed in the Plaza de San Francisco and are the subject of numerous complaints by citizens.

Thus, the formation of the left has been interested in the revenue accruing to municipal coffers over 200 square meters of tables and chairs placed by concession holders and greatly hinder the passage through this square, route of natural communication between the east and west of the Old Town.

Step even more difficult at certain times, like the present, where the square other elements that leave the space for pedestrians to a minimum are placed.

From IU-Green is believed that the squares and public gardens have to be spaces for socialization and entertainment citizen (with playground and elements of free entertainment and not exclusively surcharge) and no spaces private business and has therefore asked the City Also on measures to be taken to ensure the passage through the Glorieta de San Francisco and enjoyment of it by those who do not want, or can not, make drinks in the aforementioned catering establishment.

Likewise, the formation of the left has been concerned by reports it collects the City Council about the possible damage that kitchen fumes that come out the chimney placed between the branches of one of the existing large ficus bearing on the square can cause said shaft, which is protected in the catalog of items that enjoy such figure in the Land-use planning.
