More than a thousand children participate in the School Cross (05/12/2014)

Children of all ages and from more than 50 schools in Cartagena, participated this morning at the Cross School, included in the 2014-2015 School Sports Program. The main objective has been to promote the sport and raise awareness of the slopes of athletics as is the cross.

About 1200 children have participated in different categories of activity.

It was organized by the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Region of Murcia.

TAFAD students and School Athletics El Cano and UCAM-Cartagena have collaborated on this cross. The cross is one of the activities that participation is within the Sports Program.

Schools and children are very excited and delivered and put a lot on his part, explained Patricia Paz, sports director of the School Athletics UCAM- El Cano and Cartagena.

The children were aged between nine and seventeen, divided into five categories, both male and female.

The activity was also attended by teachers who gave encouragement to his participating students.

The irst p ranked this test, both as individual teams will represent Cartagena in the regional final to be held on February 6 in Puerto Lumbreras for children, cadets and youth and March 6 in Lorca for the youngest and fry.
