The architect Juan Antonio Molina donates a third of his library to the UPCT (27/11/2014)

The architect Juan Antonio Molina Serrano, author of influential works in the center of Murcia, has donated a third of its library collection to the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, as recorded by the agreement signed today between the author and the rector of the UPCT.

Approximately architect donated a thousand books to UPCT.

"It is of great interest to know what you have read an architect who has triumphed. And it would be an extraordinary material for whom it is contended do a thesis on his work," observes Antonio Garrido, director of the School of Architecture and Engineering Building the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

Juan Antonio Molina Serrano, born in Murcia in 1944, and later studied architecture and stage direction for theater and film.

He taught in Murcia Arts and Crafts for eleven years and has taught at the University of Murcia on scenery.

His major works are:

- Restoration Palace Hall of Cartagena

- Colegio Nuestra Señora del Carmen EGB

- Blocks of flats in the vicinity of the square Romea

- Campus of Espinardo, the Library and the Newspaper

- School of Information Science and Psychology

- Archive of the Region of Murcia

- Craft Centres

- Restoration Cathedral of Murcia

- Support for the exhibition Traces

- Restoration Castillo de Vélez Blanco
