First literary research competition (26/11/2014)

The Chair of Flamenco de Cartagena, in collaboration with the Hon.

City of Cartagena, the Cultural Association of Art and Flamenco "City of Cartagena" and the Flemish Cultural Association Alhama de Murcia, convened the First Literary Contest dedicated to research the history and traditions of Flamenco;

depth study of the variations in the music area, such as singing, dancing and guitar;

paying particular attention to artists who, with their invaluable contribution and dedication, Flamenco has endured over time, to become and be considered World Heritage Site.

THE CONTEST IS GOVERNED BY THE FOLLOWING RULES:

1st.

Few people so wish may participate.

2nd.

Papers must be original and have not been submitted to other contests that are awaiting a ruling.

3rd.

The theme of the original will be directed to exalt the Flamenco Art in general;

although those works that result in local issues within the scope of the Region of Murcia and the Campo de Cartagena, where the birth occurred and the creation of so-called Cartagena Cantes be valued.

4th.

The Literary Contest for Research on Arte Flamenco is endowed with a prize of 1000 Euros.

Of this amount the tax charges that apply shall be deducted.

The monetary amount involved in this award in the nature of compensation for waiving copyright of the first edition (publishing) to the base refers 10th;

Also, the award, the jury may be awarded.

5th.

The competition will be presented one job, and only text.

6th.

The present work is written in Castilian, with a length between 40 and 60 pages, single-sided, DIN A4 format, font Times New Roman, size 12, double spaced.

7th.

Entries should be submitted in triplicate, stitched or bound, accompanied by a copy in electronic format (CD-R).

Registered come with a title, unsigned and without any signal that can identify the author / a.

8th.

Each author / a, in addition to the documentation listed in the base 7, must attach a sealed envelope (no sender) where the job title the words "OPTIONEE LITERARY PRIZE CONTEST OF RESEARCH ON THE ART FLAMENCO" appears, and.

Acting within the same personal information (name, age, complete address, phone, email, and photocopy of ID).

All information will be forwarded to the Cultural Association of Art and Flamenco "City of Cartagena".

9th.

The deadline for the original end on May 8, 2015. It was considered as the filing date for mailed, or carrier, with the postmark or the packing slip.

Chair of Flamenco 10ª.La Cartagena may, if it deems it appropriate, publish the winning entry, and in this first edition, the winner will not receive any amount in respect of copyright.

11th.

The jury, whose decision is final, will consist of representatives whose prestige and efficiency is sufficiently recognized and demonstrated.

All matters not provided for in these rules shall be subject to fair criterion of the same.

12th.

The jury will be announced in the press and media in the Region of Murcia and in various media nationwide, and on the website of the Department of Flamenco de Cartagena.

The Literary Event that will take place for the award ceremony will take place in the city of Cartagena, on the 5th of June 2015;

the winner being committed to attend.

13th.

The papers presented no winners will be destroyed once it has occurred the Jury, in order to guarantee the rights of the author / s on the originality of the works presented.

The Chair of Flamenco not maintain correspondence about jobs sent by participants.

14th.

Participating in this competition implies contestants full acceptance of these rules, and compliance with the decisions made by the Jury.
