Work begins on Calle Alfonso XIII of Sorrows (28/10/2014)

This morning I have started the renovation of water infrastructure at Alfonso XIII of Sorrows, which in coming months will result in the diversion of vehicles in the various sections where the work has been divided.

The works, which have been properly marked, have begun occupying one of the lanes of the roundabout access Dolores, at its confluence with Calderón Conesa street, to make the first junctions.

On Thursday afternoon 27 works are expected to move into the street Conesa Calderon, where a new collector junction is placed.

For this reason, the traffic will be cut between the roundabout and the road Tibidabo, until Wednesday November 5 in the afternoon, to allow installation of the Thursday market.

From that time the work is expected to be moved to the street and Alfonso XIII. The work has been divided in tranches in three phases.

The first will be from the roundabout to access Dolores until Square Tulip. The cuts affect only the traffic lane down to Cartagena, swerving vehicles will be diverted through alternative routes.

With a budget of 1,474,878 euros remodeling project Calle Alfonso XIII of Sorrows is being executed by the contractor Gonzalez Soto, within six months.

Its aim is twofold: on one hand, replace all water infrastructure, water and sanitation, which are obsolete;

and on the other, to solve the traffic problems generated by parking in a row and left turns in the main avenue of action cartagenero.Esta neighborhood approach will allow the district to the city, giving the street an aspect of strip and greater fluency in traffic, counting with the views of residents and businesses in the area.

The Town Planning and Infrastructure, Francisco Espejo, acknowledged the inconvenience that will generate work in neighboring, but has said that they are working to be as few as possible.

For this we shall report will be displaced or even a person on site to answer any questions they arise.

Mirror stressed that despite the economic situation the City continues to promote employment through public works to be carried out in the coming months, in coordination with the concessionaire of water service, Hidrogea.

à ‰ hese imported about 4.3 million active and maintain about 100 jobs between direct and indirect.

Forthcoming works will begin conditioning the access and connections to the Sports Arena and water infrastructure renewal in Captains Ripoll.

Regarding the latter has also announced that everything is ready at the local police for traffic control that around Monday, November 3, will cause the cutting of the circulation in the two-lane uphill from the Paseo de Alfonso XIII Bastarreche, keeping open both down.

As a result, the street will end Carlos III, between University Square and Captains Ripoll.

Local police have at the end of the street a roundabout that allows entry and exit in this section, which is used as parking.
