Social Care returns with his program for seniors and people with disabilities (08/09/2014)

As a school, our senior class also returning again tackles the program develops throughout the year the Department of Social Services.

The agenda of activities that takes place between October and December brings more than a hundred plans for seniors and people with disabilities.

Around 12,000 people participated last year in this traditional initiative in Cartagena.

Volunteer program continues with the Shared Housing, in which the university helps older accompaniment in different tasks in exchange for accommodation;

the Combinate program, with volunteer support to people with problems of loneliness or computer support;

e l Chest Experience, in which the elderly themselves pass on their knowledge to others of the same age with different courses, such as painting, English or bobbin.

Senior Clubs Cartagena Township also participate in this program as the International Day of Older Persons, which will be Oct. 1.

That day has organized a hiking route Caravaca Bullas, 25 kilómtros;

and at night a memorial service in the lounge grading of the Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineering (Paseo Alfonso XIII).

Addition will be made along these months gerontogimnasia courses, cognitive stimulation, social gatherings theater, theater performances, cultural weeks diferents locations and sample villancicos.Por Moreover, nursing homes and day centers also add to this agenda with different cultural visits such as the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology (ARQUA) or recycling workshops and pastries.

Disabled people also slip in this classroom with the collaboration of different organizations that are involved with this group, as apices and PROLAM and the Fibromyalgia Association.
