1,700 pieces and 176 kilos at the Eighth National Open Fishing Christ of Medina (08/09/2014)

On 6 and 7 September was held in Cartagena waters of the Eighth National Open Sport Fishing Boat anchoring Cristo de Medinaceli, organized by the Club de Pescadores ALBACORA Sports, in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Cartagena.

The headquarters of the Open has been the Real Club de Regatas Cartagena where they have developed all the acts of the event, opening, drawing and craft stalls, concentration of athletes and weighing of the catch.

The athletic level of competition was very high and that athletes from different Autonomous Communities, sported titles of national and world champions, ie, the elite of sport fishing in the specialty of Boat anchoring.

1,706 pieces reached a weight of 176 kilos were captured.

According to the rules of the competition, all catches were donated to the charity of our City, the Hospital of Santa Teresa.

Juan José Ortiz Fishing Club Lorente Source Alamo won the title of National Champion Open weighing 10,332 kilos, plus getting the trophy as many pieces with 97 units.

The title of runner got Pérez Martínez Juan Manuel Real Club Nautico of Torrevieja and third ranked Ignacio Vergel Cremades International Yacht Club Marina.
