IU-V: "The mayor has refused to report on whether to pay voluntary declaration for Novo Carthago" (29/07/2014)

The Green United Left-Municipal Group has performed in full this morning a question referring to the mayor if the mayor will have first consideration to citizenship posed to publicly express its decision on the voluntary declaration to the Court Senior Justice, as determined by the June 24 by the head of the Court 2 to the TSJ in which stipulated that due to the condition of volumetric Pilar Barreiro, had a period of 30 days to decide on such voluntary statement before the magistrate.

From United Left-Greens, was considered that if the mayor did not pay such voluntary statement and welcomed the gauging and the consequent transfer of the case to the Supreme Court, would be taking advantage of a situation that has nothing to do with his position as the first municipal authority and , let alone with the alleged charges against him.

The answer, which was given by Deputy Mayor, Jose Cabezas, and not by the mayor herself, has been based on the fact that when United Left-Greens private prosecution, receive the reply through the Court, to be overlooked the Cartagena right to be informed of a situation that affects the epitome of all of them, as the Town Hall.

Remember that as a result of the initial inquiry 2/2013 concerning 'Novo Carthago Case' and according to the order of 24 April this year, the mayor-president of the City of Cartagena was formally charged for an alleged crime Management continued prevarication, without undermining that may arise from the pending investigation performed.
