The Roman Theatre Museum is organizing, in the summer courses of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, The classical heritage, tangible and intangible heritage in the auditorium, where the classical heritage as a common element of many peoples will be addressed, but also as hallmarks of a specific society that thrives history and memory.

With this conference is to deepen the relationship that each site maintains its history and how it has influenced the conservation and enhancement of the archaeological heritage, but also analyze how the heritage of the classical world has provided a stimulus to its inhabitants, who are proud of this historic past and its protagonists;

Greeks, Iberians, Carthaginians and Romans.

THEMED NIGHT VISIT

During the visit Aulaeum, Cradle Will Rock, this Saturday, July 12, the great Roman architect Vitruvius visitors will discover the secrets of this iconic work driven by Augustus in the old Carthago Nova.

Throughout the journey along the way will come to the room that houses the collection of monumental architecture.

It Vitruvius explained the details necessary to understand the architecture of the theater building and the quality and selection of its architectural elements.

In room 2 the visitor closer to understanding the functions of Theatre in Antiquity, as well as its recreational function, the theater building was the stage for political and religious propaganda Augustus himself, personified in the Roman Theatre in Cartagena by the two young princes, Gaius and Lucius, who also had to participate in the financing thereof and probably in their choice of ornamental program.
