Adapted Sports Club organizes ICUE-Miralmonte, with the collaboration of the Department of Sports, this year summer schools designed for children who have severe disabilities, whether physical, intellectual or sensory.
From Monday, June 23 until July 31 Miralmonte College will host its facilities these recreational activities.
A total of 6 monitors and 4 auxiliary work with participants.
Twenty students from 2-21 years old will participate in these classes this month.
This way they can attend the workshop music therapy, play a series of games or swimming multisport as badminton or paddle.
And they will in these facilities at this center which has good accessibility to these children.
Students can perform these activities from 9 to 14 hours during these six weeks. Goal is that these children enjoy the sport like any other and more now for your summer vacation, clarified Wednesday Isabel Carmona, president of CDA Icue- Miralmonte at the launch of this initiative.
The sports director of the Club, Manuel Guillen, also attended this event.
For his part, Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, stressed today that such activities contribute our bit to help and support the families of these kids and relieve their burden.
The Summer School is not the only activity that takes place within the Club that was born last year, and that over the year, from September to June, swimming classes and workshops, multisport, music therapy are provided, as well as different games to entertain these students.
