Between strings and brass closes its 2014 edition loudly leaving the bar (10/05/2014)

The winners of the different types of competition collected their awards this evening during the closing ceremony held in the Auditorium on Batel and featured performances that delighted the large audience

Once again, the contest of classical music between strings and brass, organized by the Youth Council and the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, finished a close result in the quality of the performances of young musicians, and it has been one of the issues you have been higher level.

Hence the complicated work of individual jurors finally announced the winners of the various forms, which collected his award at the closing ceremony held this evening at the Auditorium and Congress Palace of El Batel.

The awards ceremony began with the brilliant performance of young pianist Paula Bernal Puche, with only 16, showed off her great professionalism performing Concerto for Piano and Orchestra OP.

50 No. 3 Kabalevsky, accompanied by the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Andrés Pérez Barnabas.

First prize in the piano of the XVI edition of the competition, this promising young piano was elected unanimously by the members of the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena to represent the competition between strings and brass in the closing ceremony.

He then proceeded to the awards ceremony, which conducted the Youth Councillor, Ruth Collins;

Councilman Social Care, Antonio Calderon;

the director of the Conservatory of Music, Maria Angeles Bres, the General Deputy of Cultural Property, Ana María Fructuoso;

and director of the Music Conservatory of Lorca, Marcos de la Cruz Soler.

As a token of gratitude to all conservatories and music schools participating this year, both involved in the dissemination and supported the contest encouraging students to participate, this year has been included as a novelty to award Invitation a director to accompany the organizers to award prizes, repeating it in future editions.

This year it was the turn of the director of the Conservatory of Lorca, Marcos de la Cruz Ruiz Soler.

Apart from the Conservatory of Lorca, this edition also attended the Conservatory of Murcia, San Javier, Cieza, Caravaca de la Cruz, Molina de Segura and Jumilla;

Music Schools and Chaplin, Kodaly and Anmavi, not forgetting the Cartagena Conservatory, involving a total of 151 students.

The finale to the award ceremony put it Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, directed by Andrés Pérez Barnabas

The next meeting will be and the last quarter of this year, in which the Concert Series Promo facing the XVIII edition of the contest between strings and brass, with the performance of the first awards of this edition is scheduled accompanied by the Orchestra Cartagena Chamber.
