School become actors in the XXVI School Theatre (07/05/2014)

The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena has organized XXVI School Theatre Festival to be held from 9 to 30 May at the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramón Alonso. This morning the Councillor for Education, Joseph Marotta, along with the new Education Coordinator , Brigida Sanchez, and the Head of Children Schools, Maria Luisa Blanco, presented this day and commented on some developments this year.

Sixteen schools, Primary and Secondary display on stage 14 works that have been tested in that theater workshops throughout the course monitors have taught program with students and teachers.

Some of them, such as the CEIP Our Lady of the Sea and the Polytechnic had participated IES years ago and this year have come back onto the theater group.

CEIP also Atalaya which is the first time participating in Sample and alumni IES Los Molinos, who have shown their interest in continuing with the theater group put on a play esecena.

During the presentation, Maroto has commented on the diversity of theatrical genres that are present this year. The Lion King, Once Upon a Circus, The Wizard of Oz and The Big House of Fear works have been more demands by schools that attend as spectators.

Last year a total of 12 works, with 246 actors attended by 3,680 school children from 17 schools were represented.

Today, the councilor of Education has said that almost all the works have the full lineup, and 270 players participating.

It spera and an approximate number of 4,350 school viewers, covering 16 schools, Primary and Secondary Special Education and Occupational Centers.

All performances will take place in the Auditorium of the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramón Alonso at 11:00 hour s, except May 21, beginning at 10:30 am with a double session of Youth and Children's groups CEIP The Asomada.

Attendees will be greeted at the door by Braulio Center, mascot program.

Before the performances, the usher Props Gizmo Limelight sit viewers and present to the group of actors and the play.
