Welfare and work together CEPAIM the integration of immigrants (31/03/2014)

The CEPAIM Foundation and the Department of Social Services held a meeting on Saturday was attended by eleven directors six associations formed by migrants, such as Cartagena Fulbe (Senegal), Golden Sister (Nigeria), Malians Cartagena Paraguayan residents in Murcia, Blessed Viregen Chilla (Ecuador) and Tupac Jatari of Spain (Ecuador).

In general, all these associations have objectives solidarity, social integration and dissemination and cultural exchange, hence during Saturday's game, included in the project Creating Networks foundation developed in Cartagena for the second consecutive year, proceeded to analyze and discuss the inner workings of these groups and their relationship with other actors in their areas of operation.

The contributions allowed for a basic assessment of the situation in which it is the migrant associations in the town, which served as basis for the afternoon session during work objectives for 2014.

Internal promotion and strengthening of collective display of diversity in the town, and outreach and connection with the local associations: Through the project, this year, three lines of action will be developed.

This will be made, inter alia, the following actions: encounters between local and regional migrant associations, training activities, meetings with local groups (neighborhood, women, cultural), and the development and diffusion of two newsletters with information related to diversity in the region.

In the last week of April a second meeting in which activities aimed at achieving the objectives set will be specified will be maintained.
