The Chair Indra at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena investigate on health technology and smart cities (13/03/2014)

Indra will develop R + D + i with the university, will give a training course, convene an Award for Best Thesis Project Industrial and incorporate two students every year as interns

Indra and the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT) have strengthened their partnership with the creation of the 'Chair Company-AAUCTU Technology Indra', which aims to conduct research and technology development, training and dissemination in the field of health technologies and smart cities.

Thanks to the Chair, students will practice in AAUCTU multinational technology and consulting no.1 Spain and one of the largest in Europe and Latin America.

The chair will link the knowledge and experience of both organizations in the joint development of R + D + i.

The agreement also provides for studies on communications technologies and the security of information transmission in the hospital environment, as well as sensor networks and automated process planning and services, the enhancement of the efficiency and sustainability of urban infrastructure in the context of intelligent cities.

The training of students and researchers is another objective to be pursued by Indra-UPCT Chair, by conducting training courses and through practices Polytechnic students in multinational, offering scholarships for ten months to two students each year.

In addition, the Chair will convene a Prize for Best Thesis conducted at the School of Industrial Engineering, from among those that address issues that are within the subject areas of the Chair Project.
