The UPCT his master taught in English to attract business twenty students from India next year (13/02/2014)

The Polytechnic University of Cartagena has signed a collaboration agreement with an Indian university

The Polytechnic University of Cartagena continues its commitment internationalising and opens to huge Indian student market, the second largest in the world, adapting its offer of master to compete with Anglo-Saxon universities.

"Openness to India has enormous potential for UPCT" says the Vice Chancellor for Internationalisation, José Manuel Ferrández.

The UPCT start giving a proper English title and contents adapted to Indian students in its Masters in Business MBA Faculty of Business.

The entrepreneur Mahendra Mistry, who has joined the Polytechnic with Indian universities, estimated that next year will be more than twenty students coming from India to Cartagena.

This course will begin next September and will then work placements in the region.

They pay for their tuition superior to that of other students of the Polytechnic international rates, but still very competitive with those of other countries.

In a country of 1000 million people, 200,000 of them study each year outside India.

Most do in the U.S., UK and Australia while in Spanish there are only 155 Indian universities pursuing higher studies this year.

Mistry says that the biggest impediments to the UK has been at the entrance to Indian citizens represent an opportunity for the other European countries and believes that Spain could at least triple the presence of Indian students in a few years.

And bet that a good portion going to Cartagena for their more similar to the British Indian and "to learn Spanish and to open doors in the Latin American market," says climate and lifestyle.

Mistry participated today, with the director general of Universities, Luis Javier Lozano, and the Vice Chancellor for Internationalisation UPCT, José Manuel Ferrández in receiving new international students this semester at the Polytechnic.

The International Relations UPCT and last month signed a collaboration agreement with Veer Narmaa South Guyaray University and is in talks with other academic institutions, including those that give training in Castilian, to offer to Indian students graduate stays semester in the different masters of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
