Turn to Cartagena with the second promotional concert between strings and brass (12/11/2013)

Music Auditorium was Narciso Llepes of Lorca yesterday afternoon on Monday, November 11, the p irst stage Promotional Concert Series of the XVII edition of Classical Music Competition for Young Artists of the Region of Murcia, between strings and Metals.

The soloists Marcos Lopez (viola, I prize ex aequo string mode), Francisco Javier Albarracin (viola, I prize ex aequo string mode), Rosana Guirado (piano, I prize ex aequo mode piano), José Jorge Miñarro (marimba , I prize percussion mode), Jesus Ortega (guitar, I prize mode guitar) and David Perez (trumpet, I brass mode award) were the first soloists taking the stage next to the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra, and delight in their tracks to the public that packed the auditorium Lorca.

Today Tuesday, the shift is to Cartagena that provides a new opportunity for the soloists awarded in the previous edition. Therefore, the second promotional concert will consist of the following young musicians: Mark Lopez Martinez (viola), Francisco Javier Albarracin Abellán (viola) , Rosana Guirado Pinero (piano), Paula Bernal Puche (piano), Paul Martinez Gil (tenor) and Daniel Gomez Barberá (oboe).

The Promotional Concert Series ends on Wednesday November 13 in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music of Murcia.

Notably, all give concerts start at 19.00 hours and admission is free until all seats.

The competition between strings and brass, or rganizado by the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena and the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena, is unique in the region of Murcia and over the years has managed to become a reference for those studying music in the community, reaching a high level of participation by the stimulus representing the prizes.

And, the key to this success is not only a cash prize, but a number of elements that make this contest an event unique and different.

So, one of the great oddities of the Contest is that it offers as a prize laureates added their chance to play as soloists with a professional orchestra in a series of promotional concerts, culminating in the closing of that contest.
