190 reported this year for not picking up the dog poop (11/11/2013)

The sanctions imposed on dog owners for not picking up after their animals in the streets of Cartagena have been 188 so far this year, a figure that exceeds the 128 the last year imposed for all violations to the Animal Ordinance Company, as reported by the Councillor for Health, Ángel Nicolás Bernal.

This increase is due to the work of the local police, which has expanded its plainclothes surveillance in areas and times more common for this type of practice.

The council notes that are chasing behavior to be followed because they are lack of civility and despise paying citizens cleaning the streets of Cartagena.

The following number of penalties infringement is the presence of potentially dangerous animals loose or without muzzles located, which has resulted in 39 fines, while 29 others have been imposed on owners of these animals without license mandated by the Act to be obtained.

Among the 314 complaints by the local police that have resulted in punishment of Health, there are 10 that have been issued against individuals by neglect or mistreatment of animals.

The penalties provided for by Ordinance reach EUR 330, the slight, until 1500, if serious, and can be up to 3,000 euros if it is very severe penalties for violations.
