The City requested a suspension of the emergency closing Rosell (21/10/2013)

Cartagena City Council this morning approved a unanimous declaration of local groups, PP.

PSOE, IU-Green and Citizens Movement, urging the Council of the Autonomous Government to suspend the decision to close the emergency door and any other service on the Santa María del Rosell Hospital.

The agreement also calls for the earliest possible appointment of Managing Health à rea II and the convening of a table on which the Health expose and share their plans with professionals and users Cartagena Health .

The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, expressed his s atisfacción by this agreement of the four local groups which have been set aside political issues and has acted in the interest of citizens.

The agreement was reached after more than two hours of full monograph that had been convened at the request of municipal opposition groups to discuss the health situation in Cartagena.

In similar terms have been expressed by representatives of the three opposition political groups, Charity Rives, Matthew and José María Rosa López, who have spoken of discriminatory treatment of regional authorities to the health area 2 and have accused the government team of impassivity to the gradual closure of Rosell.

For his part, Councillor of Health Team, Ángel Nicolás Bernal, stressed the advancement of health infrastructures in the municipality in the past 20 years and has denied any intention of closing Rosell Hospital.

Bernal has terminated his speech proposing the adoption of the text of that institutional statement that after a break of a few minutes, all groups have ratified unanimously.

During the session were some tense moments lived by the audience, who applauded or disapproved councilors interventions.

In this sense, the mayor has been the need to expel a full salon woman that has interrupted the Councillor for Health intervention.
