The Agency for Local Development and Employment of the City of Cartagena (ALDE) will start from November Vocational Training Programmes (PCPI) in the category of Professional Workshop and specialties: Masonry Auxiliary Operations-Painter and Operations Building Maintenance.
The ALDE been obtained from the Ministry of Education's approval of these two projects within the notice of Initial Vocational Training Program, with a total grant of € 80,000, at 40,000 euros per project.
These programs are aimed at students aged 16 to 21, who have not obtained the Certificate in Secondary Education, with the aim to obtain vocational skills to a level one qualification of the current structure of the National Catalogue of Qualifications, as well as having the possibility of a successful labor integration and expand their core competencies to pursue studies in different teachings.
Students will be led by four monitors, two specialty and two to teach general subjects.
The Initial Professional Qualification Programmes offered at the Youth Center and Training that the City has in quarries, with a duration of one academic year.
During this time the number of 30 students will receive basic training, specific training in the specialty of Masonry, Painting or Building Maintenance, career counseling, mentoring and training in the workplace.
The most outstanding students may participate in the development of professional practices of its kind in Portugal through the LEONARDO DA VINCI program, awarded for the second consecutive year the ALDE.
Youth interested in participating in this program must attend the Local Development Agency and Employment, located on Calle Caridad n ° 1. The registration period is from 1 to 11 October.
