40 largest Centers visit Cartagena Day camp Carthaginians and Romans (26/09/2013)

The CEO Institute Senior Social Action Murciano, Enrique Perez, today joined 40 over Cartagena Day Centers III, El Algar, Source Cubas and Los Dolores in his visit to the camp of Carthaginians and Romans on the occasion of the parties in town.

This visit is part of the activities planned by the various day centers in the municipality of Cartagena to maintain or enhance the skills of older people achieving a greater degree of autonomy.

Thus, Perez said, "is to provide recreational activities that allow them to enjoy their free time."

The various activities that develop the Day Care Centers in the Region, explained the CEO, are designed to prevent, reduce or delay placement in a residence thereby promoting coexistence of older people in their home environment.

It also provides a comprehensive treatment from the rehabilitative approach to elderly people suffering with mental disorders, or depressive dementia syndromes to guarantee a better quality of life.

During the visit to the camp, the elders have been joined by workers from their respective schools and were able to determine the origin and history of the city of Cartagena as well as aspects of its foundation and its capture by the Romans.
