The Governing Council has given the green light to Decree containing integrated text of the Statutes of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), after being approved by the Senate of the university.
The new statute unifies, clarifies and updates the previous texts which govern the academic institution and it provides for the incorporation of the Doctoral School as a new center UPCT, and the integration of different standards that were previously contained in separate regulations and incorporated thereto to facilitate its understanding.
Also, this text incorporates the latest legislative changes in state college, so that with these Bylaws, the standard UPCT has a fully functioning organization and adapted to the current legislation.
The regional government intervention in the process of approval of the statutes is limited to the verification of its legality and its adaptation to the rules, always respecting university autonomy.
