Education and coexistence, identity Comenius Project (12/02/2013)

Youth Councillor, Ruth Collado, has received this morning, Tuesday Feb. 12, about sixty people, including students and teachers from several countries, who are part, by the IES San Isidoro de Los Dolores, Comenius Project .

The Comenius Project, The European Youth ads Discovers Different Faces (The European Youth discover the different faces of advertising), will take place over the course 2012/2013 and 2013/2014.

It is coordinated by a school in Poland and its associated centers, and the IES San Isidoro, sites in France, Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, Turkey and Slovenia. Altogether, eight countries are part of this European initiative that aims to improve istics ¼ Linga skills among young people.

Advertising is presented as the starting point of this educational experienica. Strengths and weaknesses will be discussed and studied by students of different schools in order to promote critical thinking and responsible consumption and to obtain final conclusions on this innovative learning method once within two years.

Angeles Perez, director of the center of Cartagena, stressed that the institute has already participated in previous editions.

Also, in the words of Perez, the positives of this project is to encourage communication among young people, while helping them strengthen cultural ties and exchange experiences.

Meanwhile, the project coordinator, Pepa Martinez, has emphasized the interaction as one of the hallmarks of the Comenius Project.

And, not only works from the faculty, but students must perform work in mixed groups, thus providing language practice.

The multilateral meetings in different countries are presented as the culmination of this educational activity. Poland was the first stage, and this week it is the turn to Cartagena.

There are still four more, with the next scheduled for late May in the city of Marseille gala.

From there to Izmir (Turkey), Palermo (Italy) and Slovenia respectively.

Parallel to learning, leisure is also room on location, usually weekly.

Thus, for the meeting participants have designed a program of activities that includes visiting various tourist attractions of the city and its surroundings as the Roman Theatre, the route Cartagena Roman or a trip to Murcia. The objective is simply to promote coexistence and reinforce the importance of multiculturalism among young Europeans.
