The feathers, dancing and music staged the Carnival Parade Cartagena (11/02/2013)

Feathers, lights, music and action.

And, as if it were a movie, on Saturday February 9 took place one of the highlights of the Carnival of Cartagena, the traditional Parade. Chirigotas, choreographic groups and troupes took part in this parade that began its journey in around 18.00 from Heroes Square Cavite, concluding in the Sports Pavilion Jiménez de la Espada Institute.

Thousands of people gathered along the route of the parade to witness the dances offered by different troupes and choreographic groups.

Councillor for Festivities, Florentina Garcia, was one of the witnesses of this great party except the Carnival.

If anything characterizes the festival carnival, is that age is not an impediment to dress.

For the most central streets of the city and to the beat of the music of the moment, participants could see Senior Carnival, which merged with the dances offered by the smaller of the groups Cartagena.

Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma and Damas and Queen of Carnival 2013 were some of the protagonists of Carnival who marched through the streets of the Old Town on Saturday.

Also joined this celebration different cartageneros and visitors who came in groups or alone, with their suits to continue the party.

The months of work and effort now seen as his deserved reward for a few hours, the city is decked out in their finery and accompanied by members of the different groups, which become the souls of a party which concludes tomorrow, Tuesday 12 February with the awards ceremony at 22.00 hours and the burning of Don Carnal at 23.55 hours in Hall Institute Jiménez de la Espada.

Superheroes, doctors, fantasies, flamingos or animals were some of the costumes that were seen, but the real stars of the day were the colorful feathers. L to comparsa Salgueiro, along with the jokes were the last to close the parade around the s 21.00 hours when they began their journey to the High Street.

From the street, the itinerary of the Carnival 2013 followed by Plaza de San Sebastián, Carmen, Plaza of Spain, Alfonso XIII, lane Carmelites / Adoration to the junction with à ngel Bruna, turning back to the toilet P Square towards Spain, to the door of the pavilion Jiménez de la Espada Institute which hosted the Big Dance Carnival.
