The band Marfagones Mill celebrates the feast of St. Cecilia (23/11/2012)

Between November 26 and December 2, various events have been organized to commemorate the patron saint of musicians, including auditions for students and traditional parade of the band to pick up new musicians

The musical group Our Lady of Solitude, Marfagones Mill, has organized a series of events next week to celebrate the feast of St. Cecilia, patron saint of musicians.

These events begin on Monday, November 26, from 18:00, with the students of the School of Music Matthew Soto conducting a hearing Woodwinds, in the rehearsal room of the school.

On Thursday 29, will be the turn of students Brass, who will carry out his audition from 18:00, continuing later percussion, also in the rehearsal room.

They will be open to the general public.

On Saturday, December 1, starting at 10:30 am, with the traditional parade of the band musicians collection throughout Cartagena (this year are collected 6 musicians).

Later, when the parade is finished there will be a dress rehearsal for the whole band, in the School of Music.

Students who join the band are:

- Enrique Donayo (Saxophone). - Jose Gomez-Vizcaíno (Percussion). - Juan Manuel Morales (percussion). - Deborah Esther Richart (Flute and Piccolo) - Laura Roca (Clarinet). - Paula Vidal (Saxophone).

The big day of the entire celebration will be on Sunday, 2 December, from 12:00 in the Casa de Cultura de Molinos Marfagones will begin hearing students with school and continue with the Grand Concert Band entire music.

The works to be interpreted are:

Third of Quites.Pasadena.Sound pasodoble of Japan (trombone). Zarzuela Lavapiés.Rise of The Barber of Firebird.
