The Local Government Committee this morning approved the basis of the call for the cession of local artists and youth associations in the hostel Canteras.
As explained by the Councillor for Youth, Ruth Collado, bases soon be published on the website of the City and will open the deadline for submission of applications.
Specifically three sites will be offered for free artistic expression and eight offices for associations and youth groups.
Applicants must submit a project that specifies what kind of activities they will perform in the premises, the assignment shall be free.
Thus, the councilor explained, is to put in hand the initiative of young artists and associations, the means to develop their activities.

The Local Government Board has also approved, among other matters, the donation from the family of the former mayor of Cartagena between 1899 and 1901, Mariano Sanz Zabala, a portrait of him painted by famed artist and humanist local Ros Vicente.
The box is now deposited in the Municipal restoration workshop for cleaning and conditioning.
