Occupied to avoid memory leaks (24/10/2012)

When one retires, the mental faculties begin to suffer.

à ‰ it is precisely the starting point of the Week CAM Building Autonomy in the Elderly, which collaborates with the City of Cartagena.

The workshops, which will end on Friday, 45 people have signed up seeking greater delay as much as possible to have to rely on their families.

The later need someone for the day to day, the better, said the course coordinator, Juan Francisco Vidal.

à ‰ l is a psychologist and teaches workshops related to memory, sleep and self-esteem.

During the three mornings that lasts the course, Vidal, retirees explain what happens to these three capabilities under one's birthday.

The advice I always give is that when they retire because they continue to conduct other activities that will help them sleep better, to prevent a decline in self-esteem and help them remember things over, said.

Among the advice they provide to improve memory performance highlights the things noted, avoid performing several tasks at once, repeat information and review mentally at the end of the day what has been done for the same.

In the evening, the classes are exclusively dedicated to carers of dependents.

So far this year, these workshops have been held also in Jumilla and Lorca.
