City employees will work 37 hours per week and a half from September 15 (17/08/2012)

The Local Government Committee this morning approved the proposal of Councillor Rea of Finance, Personnel and General Scheme, Fatima Suanzes on change in working hours and their distribution in accordance with Law 2/2012 of 29 July, the State Budget, as well as certain provisions of the existing Agreement on Working Conditions and Collective Agreement 2011/2015 for public employees of the city council and its autonomous bodies.

As he explained the councilor is to implement State regulations which came into force on July 1.

The new schedule of 37.5 hours per week, two and half times more than today, will start from next September 15, following current holiday period.

In general for administrative staff of the City and its autonomous bodies will be a strip and a flexible schedule.

The schedule shall be required to fulfill d and Monday through Thursday from 9 to 14.30 pm and Friday, from 9 to 14 hours.

This extension will also be in half an hour of public opening hours, Monday through Thursday, so far was 9 to 14 hours.

The rest of the schedule to complete the 37.5 hours per week, will be flexible Monday through Friday between 7 and 9 am and 14.30 noon and 15.30.

It also provides for two afternoons to recovery time, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16 to 19 hours.
