Hence, the Department of Social Services, after detecting this type of situation in parts of Cartagena, has launched the alarm, explaining the process followed by the real municipal technical visits to the homes of older people.

A month ago there were three cases followed by the foreign friends who wanted to take advantage of seniors, and we want to give a wake-up call to redouble their cities and address the reomendaciones, applying what they have learned along round in the Senior Program courses in the Department, noted the mayor of Social Care, Antonio Calderon.

The councilman pointed out that visits both technicians, social workers, educators and monitors, as members of voluntary, are made ​​at the request of the older person, or has detected a risk from services council. And always have to be identified.

In both cases, visits are scheduled by phone with the user or a close family, warning them that they were going to visit with them and specified day and time.

In addition, in the case of volunteers, at the first visit always accompanied by a social services technician.
