A high percentage of students entering the intermediate level PCPI Professional Training (31/07/2012)

The Agency for Local Development and Employment fulfills its goal of redirecting through the Initial Vocational Training, youth who have left school halfway to return to the education system through the FP

A group of young students in the program Initial Professional Qualification (PCPI) of the Local Development Agency and Employment, today received their diplomas after completing their training in the fields of Operations Auxiliary Masonry and Painting, and Plumbing and Heating Operations .

The diploma ceremony has been attended by the Councillor for Employment, Diego Ortega, and the director of the ADLE, Francisco Garcia Valenzuela, and in the course of it, Ortega was pleased with the success of this initiative, which has been fulfilled in order to redirect youth who had dropped out of ESO to return to the educational system, in this case through vocational training.

70 percent of students who have done both PCPI programs organized by the Agency and submitted for testing have access to the average degree of FP have successfully, and with this we reach our goal, assured Councilman Employment.

A total of 18 students who participated in two workshops PCPI of the ADLE, over an entire academic year, which began in November and now ends with a module of 150 hours of training in the workplace, for which agreements were signed with companies from Cartagena.

Also, students of masonry and have done internships in public spaces in the Portus, Quarries and the Ports of Santa Barbara, thus applying their knowledge to improve infrastructure in the districts and county.

The PCPI is funded by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment has developed in the Occupational Training Center that has ADLE Canteras.

It is aimed at young people between 16 and 21, who have not earned the title of Secondary Education, led us back in order again to education and improve their employability.
