The Roman Theatre and UPCT organized this summer a course on equity (19/06/2012)

The Roman Theatre Museum has organized in collaboration with the heritage UPCT course this summer.

With the theme of Cultural Heritage and Society.

New challenges, new inspirations will address the new challenges of culture in a changing world. This will be discussed various examples and experiences in which social support has enabled business and institutional guidelines outline some of the difficult road of Culture, among which effort and coordination of the various social agents in the town of Lorca before the earthquake of May 2011.

It also will analyze the urban and social change that has been created in recent years in the old town of Cartagena, through heritage projects as emblematic as the Roman Theatre and the Pinwheel Hill.

Also will look at the example of Peter White with its museum and its dynamics Cano Foundation.

During part of rquitectos, archaeologists, artists and cultural managers closer to understanding these new challenges.

Among them, the architects Eduardo Barceló, Francisco Jury and God Juande Sickle, archaeologists Andres Martinez, Maria Jose Madrid, José Miguel Noguera and Elena Ruiz.

The painter Pedro Cano made a tour of the exhibition IX Mediterranean and along with Museum Director Maria Carmen Sanchez Rojas and manager of its foundation will present new challenges and social involvement of the Museo Pedro Cano.

The classes will close with a conference on Cultural Patronage, by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Pedro Alberto Cruz, and a panel discussion on the subject.
