Firefighters rescued a fisherman with a broken leg in Punta Gables (18/05/2012)

Effective Park Firefighters have rescued Cartagena City Hall this afternoon to a 35-year-old had fallen off a cliff on the coast of tailings, and had broken his leg.

The events have been recorded around 11 am, when receiving a call from the Emergency Coordination Center warning that a fisherman had seen a drop in Punta Gables and could not move.

After sag in the area, aided by mountain equipment, firefighters arrived at the man, who had an open leg fracture, bleeding half, so he underwent a tourniquet, the leg was immobilized and placed in a rigid stretcher.

At the request of firefighters, emergency medical phone was giving instructions to the troops.

He then requested assistance from a helicopter to evacuate, given the difficulty of doing so over the cliff.

But it was finally decided, for faster, sea escape for media using a Civil Guard vessel.

The wounded man was taken to the pier in Santa Lucia, where he waited for an ambulance personnel assisted Health.
