Film Festival, present in the Night of museums with an exhibition and a screening of shorts (16/05/2012)

The International Film Festival of Cartagena (FICC) participate in the Museum Night, on 19th May with an exhibition and a screening of short films.

Traces of film exposure: the time to space will open at 20 am in the Plazza Coffee. Elena Tiburcio It synthesizes the soul with its outline of some of the most emblematic works of cinema.

Meticulous attention to detail with no free expression, bodily shapes to movie icons the likes of The Passion of Joan of Arc by Carl Theodor Dreyer, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, the end of the escape of Jean Luc Godard or Un Chien Andalou of Buñuel.

The concept pursued in the exhibition is that one part can be container of a larger whole, managing to evoke from a single frame representing the full spectrum of emotions and ideals that defined the film intellectually.

The exhibition will remain on the Plazza Coffee until 10 June.

On the other hand, At midnight in the Plaza de San Sebastian, the FICC will screen a selection of short films presented at the festival: Den Forste Anders Kristian Andersen Ussing (winner Silver Caravel Official Selection Short Film FICC/40) permanent Vado Daniel Bernal (winner Silver Caravel MURcine FICC/40), Francesco Marisei Flatmates 3.0, Free Direct Rico Barnabas, staring David Manuel Ruiz Family, El ambidextrous Antonio Palomino (Best Screenplay FICC/39) and Are you going ?, Christina Mill (Best Direction FICC/39).

This selection is a review of different film genres and aesthetics, and allow the public to know some of the best works that have passed through the festival in the last two editions.
