"50 Years of the Common Agricultural Policy in our food" (16/05/2012)

The School of Agricultural Engineering has organized hosts, along with Agricultural Press, lectures and an exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of the Common Agricultural Policy organized by Agricultural Press.

These events will run from tomorrow, Thursday, coinciding with the feast of the patron of downtown, San Isidro Labrador.

The aim is to bring the reality of the CAP to the population of the Region.

The objective purpose of these activities, called "50 Years of a Common Agricultural Policy in our food" is to show students that are studying the importance of Agricultural Agricultural Policy in the European Union, not only as a compendium of aid or legal norms, but also as an instrument structuring of the territory, which monitors food production, security and food tradition, as well as the preservation of the environment.

The conference will be held tomorrow, Thursday, in the Auditorium of the School and will feature speakers such as the CEO of media group Agrarian Europe, Alicia Vives, and agronomist and expert in the European Union, Dimas Rizzo.

Joaquín Maestre, CEO of Common Agricultural Policy, will present a paper on the CAP in the Region of Murcia.

The exhibition can be seen on the ground floor of the Lecture of the School of Agricultural and consists of ten panels from which you can find details on the origin of food, promoting ecological, growth in rural areas or the quality of the food of the European Union, among others.

In these activities is expected attendance of students, teachers, researchers, social, agricultural organizations, cooperatives sector and members of professional associations, among others.

"The CAP in the Region of Murcia" by Joaquín Maestre, CEO of Common Agricultural Policy.
