The ECAC resolved 112 complaints last year (13/04/2012)

The Economic Council resolved Administrative Cartagena in 2011, 112 of the 163 claims filed, representing a 68.7 percent, data that has come to light in the Annual Report published by the agency and which is also showed that most of them were related to real estate tax.

In figures, the total number of claims filed in 2011 was 117 to 45 that have joined that remained unresolved in 2010, and a slope of 2009. At December 31, 2011, 51 complaints remain unresolved.

As to the meaning of the resolutions, the percentage of all or part estimatorias amounts to 27.7 percent, while inadmisiones exceeded 8.9 percent.

Main point is referred to the time resolution, down significantly from previous years.

Thus, while the average for those filed in 2009 and 2010 was 462 days, about fifteen months, in 2011 the average was 138 days, ie four months.

Again, as already has been drawing in other earlier reports, highlights the complexity and the degree of processing legal claims, which makes solving them within three months, is a difficult objective to achieve.

Still, the average puts us ahead of other cities in Spain, where the resolution is raised within 6 months.

It also continues to draw attention to the fact that most claims are filed by companies or governments, which implies a degree of legal drafting very important.

Finally, the report also refers to administrative proceedings brought against decisions of the Council in 2011 were 22.

In addition, there has been resolution of 5 appeals previously, and one the court has decided against the decision of the Council.
