The Governing Board authorizes the expenditure of new contracts on which they exercise greater control (13/04/2012)

The Board of Governors approved this morning the multi-annual spending authorization for a number of contracts which are intended to increase control over spending, generate savings and improve the organization of municipal services.

The first is the electricity contract repair of municipal vehicles, a service that until now billed for repair.

The contract, valid until May 2013, will go on hiring 21,228 euros and it will benefit all vehicles that make up the city fleet.

A contract for elevator maintenance will respond more quickly to incidents in 18 of 16 municipal buildings, elevators, for various reasons, not in the current contract for elevator maintenance.

The contract, worth 22,864 euros, will run until July next year, when the current contract expires, at which time all work will meet in a single contract.

In similar circumstances is output to contract for the maintenance of six processing centers, for 3,540 euros.

Government spokesman and Councillor for Infrastructure, Francisco Espejo, said that these measures are part of the control strategy of spending undertaken by the City. The unification of contracts allows us to benefit from the improvements that provide businesses and makes it much easier control of costs and needs that are generated in the daily activity of municipal services.

This information is essential to give citizens the best service at lower cost.
