Cartagena City Council decreed minimum services for the general strike (27/03/2012)

Cartagena City Council has decreed minimum services of the general strike has been called for next Thursday, March 29.

Its content has already been reported, as required by law, the unions and workers affected.

The minimum services decree affects 55 of the 1,200 employees that make up the municipal staff, plus staff of the local police that day will be of service and can not endorse the strike.

As explained sources of the Department of Personnel is a minimum service trying to harmonize the right to strike by municipal workers with the general interest which represents the essential services of local government to citizens.

Most of the minimum services have been enacted in the fire service, which will remain operational in office 19 people, in the Economic Services and the Treasury, where 10 people have been determined for completion of documentation and adjustment plan payment to suppliers, whose term ends next day, and in the eight municipal nursery schools, where there will be one person in each.

There will be minimum services in Human Resources, Registrar General, Municipal Warehouse, Data Processing Center, Cultural Center, Traffic Signal Maintenance Brigade, Brigade Public Works, Statistics, Office of Citizen Services, Building Department La Milagrosa and the Women.
