Today at the Teatro Romano closing a course on cultural heritage (14/03/2012)

The Roman Theatre has provided during the month of March the course Architecture A tour package?, Cultural heritage and new architectures in urban areas of historical interest.

The classes are part of the actions of the European project CULTURE (Unesco Cités of Territoires Urbains Equilibres Laboratoires), highlighting the role of cultural heritage in historic cities, not only in response to its monumental value, but also as a tool for economic and social development of the city.

Partners in the project include the Region of Murcia and Cartagena City Council, which works.

The course began on Monday 5 March at 19.30 in the Auditorium of the Roman Theatre and ends Wednesday.

It involved 80 students of Architecture, Tourism, Cultural Heritage and the general public.

PROGRAM

Monday March 5:

From 19.30 a20.30 hours.

The recovery and enhancement of the Archaeological Heritage: the Old Town.

The paper will be provided by Amann, Cánovas and Maruri, architects and teachers deArquitectura School of Madrid.

20.30 to 21.30 hours.

Military Heritage Rehabilitation: Espaciosculturales, teaching spaces, meeting places.

The speaker will be Martin Lejarraga architect.

Tuesday March 6:

19.30 to 20.30. The Roman Theatre of Cartagena at the heart of culture and tourism boost for the Old Town. Elena Ruiz Valderas.
