La Palma awarded to the best of Comedy Contest XIV (27/02/2012)

On Saturday the council was held in Cartagena de La Palma and the closing awards ceremony of the XIV Comedy Competition 2012, an event organized by the Cultural Association in collaboration with Theatre Now the City of Cartagena through the Department of Culture and Decentralization, and the Neighborhood Council.

This year's competition, the unique ú existing in Spain dedicated exclusively to comedy, there have been some thirty works came from all over the Spanish territory, all of great quality, among which the jury selected three finalists assemblies, among those who have shared the awards (Best actor and actress, best supporting actor and supporting actress and best director), consisting of five bronze statues, the work of the sculptor Maite Defruc.

Thus, members of the selection board determined unanimously to grant the following awards:

Award for Best Supporting Actress for Ana Isabel Garcia for the role of maid Pepa Charley's Aunt, by group Aladroque Theatre of Cartagena.

Award for Best Supporting Actor for Peter Santomera by the interpretation of different characters in The Searcher, Double K Company Theatre de Murcia.

Award for Best Actress for Mary Jesus Ros for the role of Pepa A jealous husband has never rest, Theatre Company The Comedy of Murcia.

STAR Award for Best Actor for Manuel Menárguez for the role of Searcher in The Searcher, Double K Company Theatre de Murcia.

ADDRESS BEST Award "N ‰ NICA ESCA to Elvira Pineda by a jealous husband has never rest, of the Society of Theatre Comique in Murcia.

The jury was composed of professionals in the Performing Arts: Francisco Garcia Vicente, Professor of Stage Management, as Chairman, Antonio Gonzálvez Gomaríz, professor of dance, vocal quality, and Bernardino Garcia Lopez, Bachelor of Performing Arts, as well as Vocal.

The closing ceremony which was attended by the president of the neighborhood, Pedro Obradors, took place after the performance by the local group Theatre of the work now Sparrow, Alfonso Paso and directed by Berni García López.
