The Roman Theatre teach a course on cultural heritage (22/02/2012)

The Roman Theatre taught during the course March Architecture A tour package?, Cultural heritage and new architectures in urban areas of historical interest.

The classes are part of the actions of the European project CULTURE (Unesco Cités of Territoires Urbains Equilibres Laboratoires), highlighting the role of cultural heritage in historic cities, not only in response to its monumental value, but also as a tool for economic and social development of the city.

Partners in the project include the Region of Murcia and Cartagena City Council, which works.

The course will begin on Monday 5 March at 19.30 in the Auditorium of the Roman Theatre and ends on Wednesday 14th of that month.

There are only 80 seats and is designed for students of Architecture, Tourism, Cultural Heritage and the general public.

Tuition for students in the UPCT is 10 euros and for other people, are 20 euros.

PROGRAM

Monday March 5:

From 19.30 a20.30 hours.

The recovery and enhancement of the Archaeological Heritage: the Old Town.

The paper will be provided by Amann, Cánovas and Maruri, architects and teachers deArquitectura School of Madrid.

20.30 to 21.30 hours.

Military Heritage Rehabilitation: Espaciosculturales, teaching spaces, meeting places.

The speaker will be Martin Lejarraga architect.

Tuesday March 6:

19.30 to 20.30.

Memory and Landscape as cultural and architectural resources.

Bay.

The speaker will be the architect Fernando de Retes.

20.30 to 21.30 hours.

Content and Museum in ARQUA.

The paper is run by Boris Micka, architect and museographer.

Monday March 12:

19.30 to 20.30.

The Roman Theatre of Cartagena at the heart of culture and tourism boost for the Old Town.

The speaker will be Valderas Elena Ruiz, director of the Roman Theatre Museum deCartagena.

20.30 to 21.30 hours.

Architecture for the Leisure and Culture: The Batel.

The talk will be imparted by the architects José Selgas and Lucia Cano.

Tuesday March 13:

19.30 to 20.30.

Culture, Tourism and Society.

The speaker will be the sociologist José Miguel Iribas.

20.30 to 21.30 hours.

Design and museum in museums and exhibitions.

The talk will give the architect the company Jesus Moreno and Associates, Jesus Moreno.

Wednesday March 14:

At 20 hours.

Exhibition of winners of CULTURE.

At 21 hours.

Awards.

At 21.30 hours.
