The Navy disclosed in Arqua (17/02/2012)

Spanish Armada, a safe investment is the title of the exhibition that inaugurated this morning at Arqua the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, Admiral Chief of Maritime Action Force, Javier Franco Suanzes and museum director, Xavier Nieto.

The exhibition, which will be open until 28 February at the Temporary Exhibition Hall at the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology (Arqua) offers a profound vision of the Spanish shipbuilding industry from an economic, historical and social.

The information presented to the visitor data as the Navy points out that 42% of total turnover Naval Sector in Spain by the Ministry of Defense, amounting to 73% in relation to export foreign navies.

Also stresses the investment in ships and material that made the Navy to create a major industrial and technological base on defense.

It also outlines the four major shipbuilding programs over the last decade: Frigates F-100, BPE Juan Carlos I, Submarine Patrol S-80 and BAM.

Thus, the Navy disclosed and promotes the importance of the maritime dimension of Spain not only in the field of security and defense, but also in the economic, academic and cultural.

The exposure time to visit is:

Tuesday to Saturday: 10 to 19 hours.

Sundays: 10 to 15 hours.
