The Municipal Campeonarto Bowls IV, organized by the Municipal Institute of Social Services starts on Monday 20 February at the petanque in the neighborhood of Jose Maria Lapuerta.
The inauguration, which will be at 17.30, with the assistance of Councillor of Social Affairs, Antonio Calderon.
The competition involved 11 teams from major centers of Alum, Vista Alegre, Barrio de la Concepción, Los Barreros, Virgen de la Caridad, Mills Marfagones, José María Lapuerta neighborhood, and Home III.
The teams played a dozen games in the different fields pitch of major associations on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16.30.
The championship will end in May with the presentation of trophies to the top four.
This championship is organized to enhance the active participation of older people in traditional sports activities, promote the acquisition of healthy habits and promote social relations between adults.
