On sale tickets to see Yerma in El Batel (13/02/2012)

The Auditorium and Convention Center will host The Batel May 17 representation of the drama by Federico Garcia Lorca, Yerma.

The playwright Miguel Narros takes the reins of this new staging of the work of Federico Garcia Lorca with Silvia Marsó as hero and music by Enrique Morente.

Tickets, which are already on sale, they cost 28, 25 and 18 euros.

The performance will be at 21.30 hours.

Yerma is a young married woman living in Andalusia from the 30's. His only desire is to have children, but her husband, an Andalusian peasant, neither can nor wants to give them.

Yerma is sterile but his stubbornness makes all the blame falling on poor John.

The violence and cruelty of a dark, suffocating, is portrayed to perfection in this intense work, completing one of the most important theater trilogies of literature in Castilian with Blood Wedding and The House of Bernarda Alba.

Narros Miguel is one of the few living legends of contemporary Spanish theater.

He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music and Declamation, before continuing his training in France.

Eventually he became professor at the Royal School of Dramatic Art, but his high profile has come for his many productions of classic and contemporary authors for Spanish University Theatre, Little Theatre, Theatre Studio in Madrid, Castilian Stable Theatre , Spanish Theatre (which Dirigo twice), National Drama Centre, National Classical Theatre Company, among many other Spanish and international scenarios.

The Cartagena Nuevo Teatro Circo staged a late work, The Queen Bee, Charlotte Jones, Veronica Forqué in front of the cast.
