Justice believes that the City has not damaged the historic heritage of the windlass and files the complaint Citizens Movement (13/12/2011)

The holder of the magistrate court No 5 of Cartagena has filed proceedings sponsored by Citizen's Movement against the City of Cartagena to consider that the works carried out in the archaeological park of windlass have not caused any damage to the historic heritage.

In its order of file, the judge added that no damage is evident in the reports of archaeologists and construction supervisors Seprona reports.

The court decision states that the work contracted by the City of Cartagena had all permits, licenses and were supervised by a team of archaeologists and all security measures to prevent damage ¿.

In this way responds to the claim of Citizens Movement which led to an opening of proceedings that have been completed and filed actions.

As for the complaint by use of heavy machinery and concrete in the winch hill, in the car should be noted that the use of such machinery is a practice that harms the Heritage nothing and that their use was authorized and supervised by a team of archaeologists. In addition it is estimated that regular use on archaeological excavations and does not violate any law or constitute a criminal offense.

Councillor of Greater Planning, Joaquín Segado, believes this court decision supports the rigor and the legality of municipal actions. Again justice confirms the interest of the City Council to protect and preserve historical and archeological heritage of the city.
