More than one thousand native species for Human Rights (01/12/2011)

More than a thousand trees of native species is what is going to plant tomorrow at all campuses of the institutions of the municipality of Cartagena to celebrate Human Rights Day. This is to symbolize one of the main rights, the life, coinciding with the celebration Admas this year's International Year of Forests in Europe.

The main event will be held at the IES Peñalver of El Algar.

Attended by the Director General of Environment, Maria Teresa Navarro, the councilors of Youth and Education, Ruth Collado and Josefa Maroto and director of the School of Agricultural Engineering UPCT, Alejandro Perez.

In high school in El Algar Almese be planted two (Celtis australis), which mark the beginning of the walk of Human Rights within the institute.

Also find a commemorative plaque.

In the remaining schools will be planted between otes native species, pinyon pine, juniper berries, wild olive, carob and mastic.

Collaborate in this initiative the Department of Youth, Environment and Education, the Ministry of Environment, School of Agricultural Engineering of the UPCT and ASEAN.

The day is celebrated every year on December 10, has advanced to day 2 to not coincide with the holiday weekend.
