The Madrid Veronica Aranda won the Poetry Prize XXVI Antonio Oliver Belmas (23/11/2011)

The poet Veronica Aranda Madrid Married with Marshan his work has been the winner of the twenty-sixth annual International Poetry Prize Antonio Oliver Belma s, which annually organizes the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Autonomous Community of Murcia People's University and the City of Cartagena.

The jury has issued the ruling this afternoon in a ceremony at the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramon Alonso chaired by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, and the members of the Luis Alberto de Cuenca, Vicente Gallego, Salvador García Jiménez, Blanca Andreu and Eloy Sanchez Rosillo.

This year the award has been on our borders, despite the 170 poems submitted were from different countries Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Venezuela, Brazil, USA, Italy, Israel or Mozambique.

Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, has welcomed the strong participation of the XXVI edition has established the international character of the contest.

The award is endowed with 12,000 euros in the publication of poems and a commemorative sculpture by the artist Mayte Defruc.

Marshan, in the words of the foreman of the jury, Vicente Gallego, a book of poetry is true, contemplative and delicate stroke. The book creates a feeling of affection for the world and the things which are seen, which are often the misery of the places to walk, but always counterbalanced by the beauty of the natural environment.

For the jury, is a fine book, with great personality and we won by the intensity and the truth expressed in each poem.

Vera "ARANDA MARRIED NICA

Married Veronica Aranda, born in Madrid in 1982, has a degree in Spanish Philology, among other awards and has won the International Poetry Prize IV Iron Margarita (2009) and poetry awards Joaquín Benito de Lucas, Young Poetry Antonio Carvajal, José Agustín Goytisolo and Young Artists Community of Madrid.

And he has published books of poetry: 'Poet in India' (Melibea, 2005) and 'Tattoo' (Hyperion, 2005).

His writing has been included in anthologies: "The day it snowed on the orange '(Córdoba, 2006),' Anthology of the sonnet '(Seville, 2006),' Poetry noctiluca love '(2004).

During the 2005-2006 academic year on a scholarship at the Foundation building for young creators Antonio Gala (Córdoba).

Collaborate in various literary magazines and some of his poems have been translated into English, French, Portuguese, Macedonian and Nepali.
