Ryuichi Sakamoto doors opens tomorrow Auditorium The Batel (15/11/2011)

This week has started its tour of Spain and tomorrow, Wednesday November 16

offered in the Cartagena Jazz Festival one of only four concerts in our country, accompanied by Jacques Morelenbaum and Judy Kang.

Sakamoto music open for the new Auditorium and Convention Center of Cartagena El Batel.

A Ryuichi Sakamoto is known as the white blackbird contemporary music: composer early, classically trained pianist, electronic music pioneer, winner of Oscars, Grammys and Golden Globes, the godfather of right things, even actor.

Their positions and demonstrated strong sensitivity inevitably reflect a character in the molten state.

East and West are in their hands.

Ryuichi Sakamoto (Japan, 1952) is undoubtedly one of the composers and musicians winners and laureates of the current music scene, and his career has always been known for breaking the barriers between music and technology.

Sakamoto has experienced during his career with many different musical genres such as pop music, soundtracks and symphonic music.

Founding member of the legendary group Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO), Sakamoto has composed soundtracks for 18 films including large productions and independent film: Welcome Mr. Lawrence, The Latest Emperor, The Sheltering Sky or Femme Fatale.

This artist known for his compositions minimal experimental and their soundtracks for films by Bertolucci, Oshima, Almodóvar and Iñárritu Sakamoto in 1996 released an album under the name '1996 'arranged for piano, cello and violin.

The album included new repertoire and new arrangements of his repertoire.

The recording was done with his eternal partner Jacques Morelenbaum Judy Kang on cello and violin.

Now in 2011, Ryuichi Sakamoto has recovered the trio to tour Europe in November with a repertoire that includes new classical compositions as well as their life-and great soundtracks.

As is usual for Sakamoto concerts, there will be a carefully staged an elaborate lighting design.

The tour will also coincide with the publication of the book in Spain and Ongaku wa suru jiyu (The music will set you free), the first autobiography by Ryuichi Sakamoto, the result of dialogues between the artist and the editor of Japanese Engine.
