The Integrated Service for Young, Youth Space, has renewed for another three years the Management System Certificate obtained in 2008.

This service of the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena was one of the first municipal services quality certification.

This renovation was made possible thanks to the involvement of technical staff of Youth Space, the support of the consulting firm Marketing & Co and the commitment of the leadership of the Youth Council.

On Friday October 7, an entity's audit team assessed SGS Youth Space in order to verify compliance with the Quality System of the information, advice and guidance offered to the youth population in each and every one of the different areas and programs that form the Youth Space.

The result of the audit confirmed that the management system complies with the requirements of the UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2008.

Youth Councillor, Ruth Collado, expressed his satisfaction and has said that now, in times of crisis, when most valued work under standardized quality parameters, which allow greater control of the actions developed and is much greater efficiency in products, activities and services.

For Collado, it is necessary to be as efficient as possible to take hold and show with facts that youth work is essential and cost effective.

The ISO 9001:2008 is a leap towards modernization in the customer service in all types of organizations, including Public Administration.

This modernization is enacting the Youth Space and the interest spread and expand is what has led to three municipalities with quality certifications in their areas of youth to join their experiences and share ideas and proposals.

The municipalities of Alcobendas, Barakaldo and Cartagena have participated in the reflection of which is working under a quality management system in the field of youth, and the first result is an article published in the Journal Entrejóvenes, No. 121, July , which under the title of The Municipal Youth reas at the forefront of quality policies , show that the standard, while not perfect, yes it is a common work to improve and compare, and that all workers, technicians, managers and policy on youth must participate in the system, since the result is worth it.
