Murcia The Executive has approved a partnership between the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research and the company Lycar to subsidize urban mobility of university students at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) this year.
The regional government promotes the use of this mode of public transport by students UPCT, which also promotes efficiency and service quality of public passenger transport.
The use of public transport leads to optimization of resources, equal opportunities, energy saving, safe travel and protection of the environment by reducing pollution, while less costly for families with lower income economies, because it is a necessary expenditure they devote to teaching their children.
This agreement is an amount of 45,000 euros in addition to other regional executive initiatives to promote mobility of citizens and, especially, of a group as important as the university community.
