Hire 40 unemployed people to work in formal home care and social institutions (09/09/2011)

The Agency of Local Development and Employment in collaboration with the Institute of Social Services will launch this year's workshop Employment HOME MAYOR, thus leading to the hiring of 40 long-term unemployed, which will be formed to carry out aid work dependents at home and in social institutions.

Employment Workshops are included in measures to support employment creation and are configured as a mixed employment and training for participating employees who acquire vocational and job training by performing works or public utilities or social interest related to new sources of employment, allowing its subsequent insertion paid employment or self-employment through start-ups or social economy.

The number of students is 40, all unemployed aged 25 or over and less than 55.

Start the project by contract with the ADLE, in the form of training contract with a duration of one year.

This project will involve a range of services and jobs that are commensurate with the development of training plan for specialty skills education personal and social autonomy, related to the care of dependent persons.

It will aim, on one hand the development of skills related to the professional profile expected in the project, and the other serving as globalist axis of the different skills that are intended to be acquired by the student workers.

To carry out this project ADLE has signed a collaboration agreement with the Municipal Social Services Association and another Golden Age Messengers of Peace, because of the 40 participants in this workshop employees, 20 are formed as geriatric care aides at home, doing their work practices in the home help service under the City of Cartagena and the other 20 will go to do their work to the Virgen del Mar residence of Cartagena.

Programs Employment Workshops are projects financed by the European Social Fund, the Regional Employment and Training of the Murcia Region and the Municipality of Cartagena.

The total budget amounts to Employment Workshop 880,694 euros.

Throughout the Employment Workshop, you will also provide training in risk prevention, information technology, environmental awareness, job seeking and entrepreneurship.

At the end of it, participants will receive a certificate stating the duration in hours and the level of theoretical and practical training modules acquired and taken.

Councilman Job, Diego Ortega, said that the employment workshop Casa Mayor is doubly interesting, first because it is an initiative that will create 40 jobs in our town and secondly because the collaboration with the Department of Social Services a service that enhances provided by the City Council and the Home Care Service.
