Cartagena Mandarache Athletics Club will participate in the Aquathlon World Championships and Triathlon in the category of age groups, which will be held on 7 and 8 September in Beijing.

A few days later, on Sunday September 25th will be held in Gijón the Duathlon World Championships in the category of age groups in Cartagena where the club will also attend.

Two of the best runners will represent the region at this sporting event in which they seek to be among the world records.

To quote from Beijing Athletics Club will be represented by Matthew Mandarache Pesquer Campos, current Aquathlon World Champion in age groups, a title he achieved in September 2010 in Budapest, and Triathlon European Champion in the same category.

Pesquer proclaimed this year as Absolute Champion Regional Triathlon and Aquathlon.

For the Duathlon World Championships in age groups in the Asturian town of Oviedo, the Club will be represented by Raul Cartagenero Guevara Castellar, seven-time champion Absolute Regional Duathlon, a runner who made ​​history in this discipline at regional level.

Guevara was also Circuit Champion Autonomy of the Valencian and Andalusian runner Duathlon Championships.

Among his sporting merit was also achieved bronze medal in the European Challenge, held in France.
